I haven’t had the opportunity to pick out a wall color for my room since I was in 7th grade (and then it was 2 bright purple walls and 2 baby blue). This is a big deal. I have given it much deliberate thought and Pinterest time. I’ve also been writing a lot of home decor and garden blogs at work so I’ve been living and breathing this stuff. I didn’t even know what a gallery wall was before… what have I been doing with my life???? Here are some of my top Pin-spirations.

Pinterest and I have an interesting relationship. I once spent an entire summer on Pinterest for about 8 hours per day (really boring job). I have overly organized and annoyingly-named boards. You will find a lot of shoes and wolf things. While some might say it’s a little much, I think it’s a kinda cool little corner of the interwebz. Also, I want to build this shelf creation.

In other news, I’m really into this book right now called How Starbucks Saved My Life by Michael Gates Gill. I hope coworkers giving me books becomes a thing because that has been an added perk of my job. That and yoga during lunch. It’s written by a guy who was a high power advertising executive but gets a little lost in life and ends up pretty much begging for a job at Starbucks. Apparently it saves his life, but I’m not at that part yet. I’ll let you know how it goes.

Some tunes for this fine Monday evening.

Phil of the Future

When I was little, New Years was my absolute favorite thing in the world. We could stay up late and drink bubbly grape juice out of plastic champagne glasses. Dick Clark was still alive. It’s kind of sad that now I’ve come to think of New Years as an overrated holiday. I’d like to think there’s still a little spark in there somewhere…. in the fact that I didn’t have to work today.

Does anyone know what year it was supposed to be in Phil of the Future? For some reason it just occurred to me that we are rapidly approaching that date. Hold on, I’ll look it up. Alright, JK they lived in 2121. So I was a little off.

Remember when I said I was going to blog every day in December? Lolz. I guess when I write all day about lightbulbs and Pajama Jeans, my personal blog gets put on the back burner. So I don’t have anything important to say other than I’m alive.

Anyway, I don’t know why I am including this in here but the following video is quite possibly the greatest thing anyone has ever done for me (don’t get mad Chelsea).

Happy New Year! Cheers to a better year than 2014. Not that it was bad, but upwards and onwards, yo. I wish I was in Italy.
